About

Quinn Thomas is offering pro bono public relations support to one nonprofit organization for a 6-month period. The engagement will begin with the nonprofit in February and end in July. The organization will be selected by February 14.

Eligibility

We welcome nonprofit organizations that meet the below criteria to apply. We are generally looking for nonprofit organizations engaged in work to advance equity, inclusion, sustainability or social justice. Only one organization will be selected for 2024.

Required
  • Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations based in and primarily serving the Puget Sound region
  • Helps individuals from a community that’s been historically marginalized, such as BIPOC, the disabled, women, or members of the LGBTQ+ community

Preferred

  • Have been in operation for five years
  • Have experience and capacity for pro bono vendors/partners

Services

We will work with the selected organization’s team on a specific project that will best champion the organization’s brand and goals. This project must occur during the 6-month period (equivalent to 265-350 staff hours valued at $45,000 to $60,000) mentioned above. A full breakdown of the below services can be found here.

  • Media relations
  • Executive communications and media training + thought leadership
  • Social media + influencer marketing
  • Brand messaging development
  • Content planning + development
  • Campaign or brand creative services and graphic design
  • Issues management communications training
  • Multicultural communications strategy and planning
  • Internal communications strategy and planning
  • Event communications planning and support

Please note the following services/hard costs are NOT included and if required, must be handled by the organization directly:

  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Web development
  • Focus groups
  • Third-party research
  • Influencer rates
  • Paid media

How to Apply

Application Timeline

Here is a timeline of the 2024 pro bono application process.

  • Week of 11/30: Application submission opens
  • Week of 1/31: Application submission closes
  • Weeks of 1/31-2/7: Agency review of applications
  • Week of 2/5-2/9: Virtual interviews with top candidates
  • Week of 2/12: Final candidate selected 
  • Week of 2/19: 6-month engagement begins
  • Week of 7/22: 6-month engagement ends
