THE COMMUNICATIONS CHALLENGE

The Port of Seattle has long been a fixture in the Seattle area; driving positive change for the workforce, the environment, and social justice. It was time to shine a light on the great work of the Port of Seattle in the Puget Sound region through the voice of their community partners. And this meant a strategic communications plan.

QUINN THOMAS APPROACH

  • Quinn Thomas worked with the Port of Seattle to conduct qualitative research among target audiences to connect the Port’s mission to the community. Together we developed a year-long advertising campaign to showcase the impact of the Port of Seattle on small businesses.
  • Quinn Thomas produced a series of videos to air on social media and digital channels.

THE RESULTS

  • We delivered online videos that leveraged storytelling techniques to cover workforce development, the benefits of tourism to small businesses and farmers, Duwamish River restoration and career development in underrepresented communities.
  • Our efforts increased engagement with key Port of Seattle programs, including their annual internship class.
