Tucker is presently on leave from Quinn Thomas while he serves as Deputy Campaign Manager, Communications Director for Meg Whitman’s campaign for Governor of California.

Tucker is a veteran of political and issue advocacy campaigns at the national, state and local levels. Most recently, he served as chief spokesperson for John McCain’s 2008 Presidential Campaign. In addition to appearing regularly on cable television news shows and syndicated radio programs, he was responsible for helping manage the campaign’s nationwide communications effort.

In October of 2008, Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin included Tucker atop a list of “The Five Most Important People in Politics Not Running for President.” Tucker was also listed among The Oregonian’s “Winners” in 2008 list.

Prior to the election, Tucker’s experience was at the intersection of government, business and public opinion. As Vice President for Public Affairs for a leading national trade association, Tucker coordinated multi-state issue advocacy campaigns to protect common-sense practices inside the country’s insurance industry. Tucker began his career as a press aide to U.S. Senator Gordon Smith.
